Yesterday, the Internet (at least, the small weird corner that I frequent) was obsessed with two things: the first glimpse of the Hamilton soundtrack was released on NPR, and the existence of Pizza Rat.

The former is notable because it’s the first chance quite a few of us have had to listen to the music of Hamilton, and it does not disappoint. The latter involved a video of a rat carrying a slice of pizza down to the L train platform. As with all things on the internet, they must be mashed up:

Also, in an homage to my late city, Washington D.C. (and some other cities, I guess), the Pope is visiting. A priest has built a Lego Vatican in preparation, and there is all kinds of weird Pope memorabilia ready in the wings. My personal favorite is a change.org petition to get the Pope to bless the DC Metro system so it actually works.

In Los Angeles, Clifton’s Cafeteria has re-opened, post-renovation, and the craziest story to come out of it is this one: The most L.A. love story ever: Why we scattered our mother’s ashes in Clifton’s Cafeteria. It is a wild ride from start to finish.
