In the world of currency redesigns (Norway announced theirs a few weeks back and it's beautiful), we have a new proposed design for the US. I think it's a bit too science focused, but man is it pretty. Obviously it will never get made because we will never change our currency ever.
There is a new study about Why We Gossip but it can be boiled down to this: "Individuals need evaluative information about others to evaluate themselves." As a serial gossiper, I can confirm that we pretty much already knew this.

Everyone at NPR was sharing their embarrassing AIM screennames, and I have already forced everyone in the office to share theirs. Mine was Chica1914, which manages to encompass both my age and my love of Titanic, and I know you all thought that wasn't possible.
If you Angelenos were wondering how to pronounce "Los Angeles," the LA Times from forever ago has a helpful guide. I actually can't even figure out if I'm pronouncing it correctly.
